Adopt-A-Family Wish List
The 2011 Adopt-a-Family was a great success due to the many generous people in our community.
By November 17 we were able to accept 119 requests from families that needed help making Christmas beautiful for their children. November 18th all of the children and elderly were matched and adopted by very caring people of this wonderful giving community. We would like to express our gratitude to everyone for helping FISH help the families of Elko.

If you would like to get involved in our holiday programs as an adopting individual, family or business and need more information, please call at {775} 738-3038, or email us at Monica@elkofish.org
As an adopting individual or family:
- You may review the participating family on our web site, in our office any time after November 17th.
- You then select a family by speaking with Monica at 738-3038; she will then reserve the family for you
- A family profile may be obtained by fax, e-mail, US mail, or you may pick up profile from F.I.S.H.’s Administration at any time.
- Then the FUN really begins, you go shopping for items that best meet wishes of your family. We ask that you purchase according to your financial ability, wrap, label packages and make arrangements with the head of the household to deliver the packages to the family’s residence as early as possible keeping in mind until you make contact with the family they are not sure they are going to have a Christmas.
- F.I.S.H. and wonderful community friends and supporters will be provide each family with a beautiful box of food to take home and prepare a beautiful family Christmas dinner.
